There will be a celebration of life at Cobblestones Restaurant in Lowell, MA, 91 Dutton Street at Noon on Sunday, 6/12/22. Appetizers, light fare, and refreshments will be served. Please come and celebrate the life of Robert Coyne and share some memories.

On Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, Robert Edward Coyne passed away. Robert “Bobby” Coyne was born in Boston, Mass on July 11th, 1944, to Edward and Marilyn Coyne and lived many years in and around Boston.

He spent most of his life as a Truck Driver traveling all around the US and his handle was “The Boogieman”. Robert loved driving his motorcycles around and the open road was his one true love. Robert lived many years on his boat in Boston Harbor and made many great friends before moving to FL to be with his Sisters and Mother.

Robert was an incredibly kind and giving man that would do anything for the ones he loved. Robert loved family and was blessed with a little grandson recently; his pride & joy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his Father Edward Coyne and he is survived by his Mother Marilyn Lombard and four sisters, Sue Spalding, Linda Lyman, Pixie Coyne, and Cyndi Coyne. Robert leaves behind three children Samantha Coyne Donnel, Christopher Coyne, and Lindsay Petersen and one grandson, Boston Coyne (little BC).

In Lieu of flowers, we ask that donations are made to the Boston Children’s Hospital in memory of Robert Coyne.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
