Mark Tennyson, 55, of Melbourne Beach Florida, passed away on April 19, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family and fiancé.

Mark was born May 5, 1968 in Helena, Montana to Sharon L. Gollmyer and Jack E. Tennyson. He moved to Colorado when he was 3 years old. Mark was 7 years old when he was given his first 80 cc Honda Dirtbike. Thus began his passion for dirt motorbikes and motorsports in general. He worked for his father at his full service Conaco station for many years, where he cultivated his passion for cars. He enjoyed skiing and fly fishing.

His grandparents had a house in Orange Park, FL where he and his siblings spent most of their summers. This is where he first learned to surf and knew he wanted to live by the ocean one day. He made his dreams come true and moved to Melbourne Beach in 1999. He loved being on the beach, fishing and golfing with his friends and family. He was a very active man who loved all things life had to offer. His vibrant spirit garnered him the nickname “Uncle Party Time” by his beloved nieces.

Mark contributed much of his time and efforts in helping others not seeking acknowledgement or praise.

He was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2023 and fought a nearly year long battle with the support and love of his family and amazing network of friends.

The impact of Mark’s life extends far beyond his valiant battle with cancer. His laughter, sense of humor, zest for life, and way of loving every person he met will be held close to our hearts forever.

The memorial service to honor his legacy will be held at Ryckman Park, May 25th at 11:00 am.
