John W. Brennan, Jr., age 70, passed away suddenly on December 14, 2023. He was born in Schenectady, NY in February 1963 to the late Lorraine and Jack Brennan. He is survivied by his beloved and devoted spouse, Mary M. Brennan (nee Hectus) of Merritt Island, FL.
John received his undergraduate degree in Audio Visual Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as a professional photographer prior to and during his employment with the Irondequoit, NY police department. He retired from the police department in 1995 after 15 years of dedicated service to that community’s safety and well being.
John and Mary then moved to Florida where he pursued and achieved his law degree from Barry University’s Duane O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando, FL. He successfully passed the Florida bar exam and worked for several law firms before joining Dan Newlin at Newlin Law in Orlando where he was employed until his death.
John is also survived by his sister, Cathy Belizzi of Balston Spa, NY, brothers-in-law Joseph Hectus of Towson, MD, John Hectus of Palm Harbor, FL and Charles T. Hectus of Prospect, KY and their respective families.
A memorial mass service will be held for John on January 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church, located on US Rte 1 in Melbourne, FL.
