David Loyal Mann 81 joined heavens choir on December 19th 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Dave was born in Elkhart, Indiana on March 12th 1939 to Wyman Mann and Marjorie Mann (O’Connor) both of whom preceded him in death. David is survived by his two sons Daniel Mann of Cocoa Beach Florida, Eric Mann of Cocoa Florida, three brothers, Gary Mann, Ray Mann, and Dennis Mann all of Elkhart Indiana and the love of his life and wife of 62 years Susan E Mann (Cormican) whom he started dating in high school and sang in the church choir with for the rest of his life.

Dave graduated from Ball State University in 1961 and was drafted in to the United States Army in 1962. He and Sue were stationed in Fort Bragg North Carolina for two years and Dave served four more years in the army reserve. A business opportunity selling electronic components to the booming space industry brought Dave and the family to Merritt Island Florida in the early 1970’s where the family still resides to this day. Many new friendships were created due in part to Dave’s warm inviting smile, big booming infectious laugh and his contagious sense of humor. Dave and Sue would join Rockledge Presbyterian church shortly after arriving in Florida and continue their lifetime passion of singing in the church choir.

Family road trips to Indiana and Michigan were a lifelong summertime tradition and one of Dave’s many passions. Dave loved bass fishing in Michigan with his brother in law Larry Miles, bird hunting trips in his younger days, snow skiing, social events of any kind, card games, and lake life in southern Michigan where he and Sue honeymooned in 1958. Dave was also an avid golfer playing many, many rounds of golf with family and friends throughout his life until his health no longer permitted in recent years. Dave was a man of strong faith who always had room in his heart and will be deeply missed by all who met him.
