A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Wellsprings Church, 638 South Patrick Drive, Satellite Beach, Florida. A short reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to The America Lung Association.

Christine Maxwell (nee Wright), 11/22/1939 – 01/08/2023, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 83. Her husband, Joe and their daughter Jacqueline were by her side.
Christine, Joe and Jacqueline immigrated from Scotland in 1968 and lived in Virginia and Maryland prior to moving to Florida in 1995. Christine had a long and successful career in the banking industry in Washington, DC and had many wonderful friends there. She and Joe have been blessed by many friends here in Florida as well. Several of them through their church home of Trinity Wellsprings Church where they have been members for over 25 years. Christine was very involved with her church family as an Elder, a member of a wonderful Life Group, and sat on multiple committees. One of the things she was best known for was her award-winning Scottish Shortbread, awarded first place at the Highland Games in Orlando.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Maxwell, her daughter Jacqueline Maxwell Raab (Michael), her granddaughter Nicole Rose Smith, her brother Jack Wright (Sheila), and niece, Jenni Wright.

My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
