Titusville- William J. Alexander “Bill”, 60, a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

He was born at Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colorado on March 27, 1958 to William G Alexander and Emily Alexander. Bill grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he attended Mitchell High School. He joined the Navy in 1979 where he served as an Aviation Boastswain Mate. He moved to Cocoa, Florida in 1994, where he worked as a chef. Bill enjoyed playing pool, fishing and watching the Denver Broncos.

Bill was preceded in death by his father William G Alexander and his step-father Christopher T. Martinez.

He is survived by Debbie Alexander, his best friend and loving wife of 23 years, in which 11 of those years they were married; mother, Emily Martinez; brother, Mark Alexander; sisters, Vicki Kershaw, Debra Brooks, Pamela Martinez (Mitch),

Kelley Franco (Anthony); step son, Shayne Johns; step daughter, Ashley Johns and grandson, Andrew Johns; many nieces, nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 9 at 3:00 pm at Crossroads Community Church 2115 Knox McRae Drive, Titusville, FL 32780. There will be a reception to follow.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
