Wanda Fay (Miller) Larcom, loving wife and mother, entered eternal life on Monday, March 29, 2021 at age 67 after a four year battle with breast cancer.
Wanda was born on February 15, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Willie B. Miller and Christine Browning. Her family moved to Port Tampa City, Florida when she was a toddler, and she grew up near her future husband, Edward Theodore “Teddy” Larcom.
On September 1, 1973, she and Teddy were married at Bayview Baptist Church in Tampa. They raised one daughter, Jennifer Fay Larcom.
Wanda worked as a dental assistant for many years before she worked for Manheim Auto Auction in Tampa, Florida. She then became a TSA Screener for Homeland Security at Tampa International Airport.
Wanda and Teddy relocated from Tampa, Florida to Indian Harbour Beach, Florida following the move of their daughter, Jen, and son-in-law, Scott. She then worked at the Melbourne International Airport until retirement in 2016.
Wanda enjoyed the simple pleasures in life – like sipping iced tea on the porch, walking on the beach at sunset, and listening to her favorite music. She loved her family and friends more than anything. She had such a special bond with her grandson, Fin. She also loved sewing, quilting, crafting, cooking, baking, and gardening. She was always having fun, living in the present, smiling and enjoying time with those she loved – “Living life to the fullest with family and God.”
Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Willie B. Miller and her grandparents, Robert O. Browning & Alice Parish, Clarence Miller & Addie Lee Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Edward T. Larcom; her daughter, Jennifer F. Larcom; Son-in-law, Scott Hunter; Grandson, Fin Hunter; Mother, Christine Miller; Sister, Joann Thornberry; Brothers, Danny Miller & Randy Miller; many beloved nieces and nephews and cousins; many, many friends and two very special best friends.
