In Loving Memory of Timothy John Furst

Timothy John Furst, 72, of Rockledge, Florida, peacefully departed this world on November 27, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of his loving family. Born on September 5th, 1951 in Albany, New York, Tim was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His impact on the lives of those he touched will be cherished forever.

Tim is survived by his three children: Jessica, Travis, and Nicholas. Their spouses, Chris, Cassie, and Amy were not only in-laws but an integral part of the family Timothy held so dear. His legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Ella, Nick, Davin, Bailey, Alyssa, Penelope, and Cecelia, as well as his great-grandchild, Waylon.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Wanda, but he will be forever remembered fondly by his living siblings: James Nicolas (Pam), John (Debbie) Furst, Jonette (Daniel) Duchai, and Jill (predeceased by husband Lynn). Additionally, Timothy leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts in addition to countless friends and neighbors.

Tim will be remembered by all as a pragmatic and deeply calm individual. Truly a renaissance man, his life’s journey led him through various professions, showcasing his diverse skills as carpenter and contractor, teacher and coach, and many more, all of which he put towards his community service efforts as a member of the Rockledge Kiwanis club. His intelligence, unwavering work ethic, innate sense of morality and easy sense of humor are some of the many admirable qualities that have shaped his children and will be passed down to every member of his extensive family. He undoubtedly left an impression on every soul he ever encountered. He was both a hard-won friend and a shameless flirt. Timothy’s boundless love for his children and grandchildren was evident in the countless hours he spent helping them, whether it was fixing houses, providing invaluable advice or just being a good listener. He loved nothing more than watching his grandchildren play softball and baseball, as he had been very involved in his own children’s athletics and the local community Little Leagues.

No words can truly express the deep loss felt by his family and friends, the ripples of which will be felt for many years to come.

All are invited to join in a celebration of Timothy’s life at Faith Fellowship Church located at 2820 Business Center Blvd in Melbourne, on Friday, December 8th, at 4 pm with a reception to follow.

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love, wisdom, and joy he brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
