Merritt Island, FL – Thomas Masciale, known to most as “Big Tom,” was born August 14,1957 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Benjamin and Christina Masciale. He passed away in his home unexpectedly May 18, 2024, at the age of 66.
Tom was a 1976 graduate of Cocoa Beach High School. He later went on to receive his master’s in social work from the University of Central Florida. Tom was a jack of all trades, from shrimp boat captain, mason, a social worker, a little league coach and eventually retiring as a grandfather.
As a teenager, Tom met his wife, Marguerite Geoghean, and fell head over heels in love. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, 3 children and 4 grandchildren, (Rosemarie Fowler, Tommy Fowler, Zaiden Fowler and Zoey Fowler) (Benjamin Masciale, Amanda Masciale, Alexia Voss and Abigail Sutter) (Thomas Masciale engaged to Jessica Harness and Walter), and siblings Dorine Thomas, Jean Masciale Shoemaker and brother.

Memorial will be held at the Veterans Memorial Center
