Tabitha Ann Paquette, 52, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away peacefully at home, May 9, 2024. Tab was pre-deceased by her mother Cathy Paquette Father Leroy Paquette and her baby sister Samantha Paquette. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Mark Smith. She is also survived by her sister Toby and Husband Kevin Hurtado of Massachusetts. Her sisters Paula and Dawn Paquette of Florida. brother Leroy Paquette of Florida. Many nieces and nephews of Florida and Massachusetts.
Tabitha was an avid reader, her favorites being romance novels and Harry Potter books. She could never see an animal go hungry or unloved. She fed 13 stray cats daily along with peacocks.
Tabitha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Tabitha’s service will be June 7, 2024 at Our Savior’s Church in Cocoa Beach Florida at 1pm. Gathering to follow in the Angel Room.
Please wear PURPLE in Tabitha’s honor as it was her favorite color.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local humane society.

I dealt with Paul the owner he was very helpful. He assisted in the forms and contacted a few people to help with my fathers passing. They are all very compassionate and caring. It is a nice atmosphere and very professional in how they run the business. They did not try to push me towards anything or any package. Paul was very professional and comforting in explaining the details of what was needed. Mike was very caring when they took my Husband out of VITAS Hospice. My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
