Stephen T. Foley, 69, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away Sunday March 19, 2023 in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Steve was born May 1, 1953 in Martinsville, Indiana to his parents Philip and Margarethea (Thea) Foley. He moved with his family to Paris, Illinois at 6 months of age.
Steve attended Carolyn Wentz, Mayo Middle and Paris High School. After graduating in 1971, he began a 28 year career at T.A. Foley Lumber Co. resigning as President of the Corporation. He was employed by Prudential Insurance for one year. Steve then moved to Rockledge, Florida in 2000, and opened Steve’s Cycles, Inc. in December of 2001. He retired after selling the business January 31, 2021.
While still living in Paris, Illinois, Steve was a member, board member, Treasurer and President of the Parish Noon Kiwanis Club; Board of Directors and President of the Parish Chamber of Commerce; Commissioner of the City of Paris from 1989-1999; Finance Commissioner and Deputy Mayor. He is a member of the Ansar Shrine, Edgar Co. Shrine, Danville Consistory and Prairie Lodge #77. He is a Lifetime Member of the Harley Davidson Owners Group. Steve is also a member of the former St. Andrews Episcopal Church serving as acolyte, junior warden, senior warden and treasurer.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and former wife Debra L. Turner.
He is survived by his sister Linda S. Foley of Bellevue, Washington; brother Albert J. Foley (Tori) of Punta Gordo, Florida; daughter Stacy S. Potter (Pat) of Orange Park, Florida; son Christopher B. Foley (Jennifer) of Terre Haute, Indiana; and significant other Brenda K. Branson, the love of his life, who cared for and loved him for over 22 years.
