Ron Dudley passed away peacefully yesterday January 24, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his companion and caregiver Gloria Ebersole of Rockledge, Florida, his son Paul and wife Jose’ (Ricard) Dudley of Nashua, New Hampshire, his two granddaughters Samantha (Dudley) Marte of Dracut, Massachusetts, Shelby Dudley of Nashua, New Hampshire and his grandson Steven Dudley of Dracut, Massachusetts. His brothers Bradford and Graydon Dudley, sister-in-law Marti Dudley, nephew Derrick Dudley and niece Melissa Dudley all from California.

Ron proudly served in the Korean War and we honor him and his service to this great country. Ron worked for Raytheon as a Technical Writer through most of his career and was an avid reader of all different types of books. He always seemed to be drawn to the stories that took him out on to the open seas, but no matter if it was a book about a war or a story about how the west was won it didn’t matter, Ron loved to read.

He also enjoyed his days being part of the Granite Statesman Barbershop Chorus and truly enjoyed singing where ever a Barbershop event might pop up whether it is in Alton Bay New Hampshire or in sunny Florida; he truly enjoyed being a part of the chorus!  Growing up he loved spending his summers on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Since 1981 he has spent his summers at Edge-O-Lake Village where he has formed great friendships and memories with the Edge-O-Lake community. He loved to help cook at the annual family day breakfast which gave him such joy to see family and friends gathered together. He always said that he didn’t need much and to keep it simple. I think we can all say these were words he lived by whether it was his 18 foot boat named “It’ll Do” or the cozy trailer he lived in at the lake, it was all he needed to make him happy. Being on the lake is truly what made him happy. Services will be announced at a later date.
