Born August 31, 1936 passed away peacefully on May 28th, in his hometown of Cape Canaveral.

Originally from Wantagh, N.Y. (born in Hempstead), he and wife Myrna of 65 years left the

hustle and bustle of New York to settle down to enjoy their life in the Florida sunshine.

He spent most of his life in the car business where he greatly excelled.

He loved to play golf with his long time friends, and in his retired years, he and his wife made

award winning stained glass creations.  Family gatherings of playing games and sing a longs were

some of his favorite things to do.  He was a kind, sweet and all around good man with a great

sense of humor , and could easily make you smile.  He had so much love for his family, and although

he is gone, he will never be forgotten.

  He is survived by his wife, Myrna, 4 children- Linda Emerson, Richard Emerson, Jr.,

Susan McCormick, and Daniel Emerson.  Also, 2 grandchildren-Adam and Jill Steinhauser and

2 great grandchildren- Kaia and Adam (AJ) Steinhauser
