Viera Fla. — Raymond Jack Bright 90 years young, passed away peacefully Monday, May 24, 2021 at Cape Canaveral Hospital.
He leaves behind two children, his son, Raymond Joseph Bright of Melbourne Fla., and his daughter and son in law, Laura and Keith Gibbins of Granite Falls, NC. He also leaves behind his sister Dorothy Weed of Anderson, IN, nephew Phil Blakely, nieces, Carol and (Greg) Thomas, Ann & (Jack)Highbaugh and Sue Blakely. He leaves behind three grandchildren Randy, Chad, and Starr Bright of TN, and his partner of 20 years, Judy Hebel of the home in Rockledge Fla. and their many close friends.
In addition to his parents Raymond and Ada Bright of Anderson IN., he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Thibodeau Bright, sister Virginia Blakely, and nephew Stanley Weed.
Mr. Bright was a retired 1st Lieutenant United States Marine of twenty years, and served in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He met his wife, Dorothy Thibodeau from Gloucester Mass., at the New Delhi Embassy in where she was assigned. They were married in 1960 and were married until her death in 1997, at their home in Indian Harbor Beach Fla.
Mr. Bright enjoyed golf, swimming and traveling. He was a longtime member of the Azan Shriners of Melbourne Fla., the Anderson IN Masonic Lodge, and the Mebourne Fla. American Legion. His family will always remember his antics, laughs and jokes during treasured card games and day trips out.
Jack and Judy shared years of love, traveling, golf and bocci with their friends in Rockledge Fla.
