Raimunda (Ray) Ariza Sanidad went to be with God on November 19, 2016. Ray, her family called her Mundeta, was born in Montcada Barcelona Spain on February 2, 1946 to Vicente Ariza Leon and Elisa Devesa. She was preceded in death by siblings Jose Maria Ariza Devesa and Vicente Ariza Devesa. Her surviving siblings are Jorge, Nuri, Walter and Ramon.

In 1964 she married the love of her life, Rolando Mabalot Sanidad. They spent 52 wonderful years together. She was a dedicated military wife raising their 2 children, Rolando (Spouse – Jenifer) and Gloria (Spouse – David). After retiring as a professional seamstress, she enjoyed her five grandchildren Amelia, Alexander, Marcela, Christopher and Alexei and 1 great grandchild Alexandre.

Ray loved her husband, children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed walking and loved zumba. She loved cooking especially paella, pancit, seafood dishes and leche flan. She made the world a fabulous place to live.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 8:00AM at ST. John’s Evangelist Church, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Melbourne, Florida 32940.

My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
