Pauline (Polly) McMillen

1937-2019

Polly’s childhood and young adult life were enjoyed in Ohio. After graduating summa cum laude from high school, she became a secretary for the president of an insurance agency and developed good friendships.  One of which convinced her to go on a blind date. Fortunately, the date was love at first sight and she later married him. While raising three kids, they relocated to central Florida. Eventually two grandkids came along who became her pride and joy. Polly was a very devoted wife, mom, and grammy. She loved her family unconditionally and fed them plenty of homemade cookies served in empty Crisco cans. Polly was talented. Whatever she attempted, she usually did well…from playing the piano, to cooking, sewing, crafting, and managing the household budget. She was an avid reader and was never one to turn down a cup of coffee or indulge in sweets. She was proud of her German heritage and loved to travel, especially with family to the national parks. Polly had a very likable personality that went along with her constant smile. Polly’s faith in Christ never waned. Despite her struggle with multiple health complications over the last 21 months, she held steadfast to God. Just as she was about to decide again which direction to go in life, God chose for her. Now we mourn her physical passing and look forward to reconnecting with her in Heaven.

Polly is survived by her husband, three children, two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
