Patrick R. McNamara
Of Mullens, West Virginia, formerly Holly, MI, died suddenly Feb. 7, 2023 in Merritt Island, FL.

Patrick was born in Howell, MI March 3, 1954. He was raised in the Fenton and Holly, MI area by his parents, Ted and Anita McNamara along with siblings, Jim, Jeff, Doug, and Jayne. Patrick graduated from Holly High School in 1972.

He was multi-talented in carpentry, construction, contracting and equipment operations. He was friend to many, hunter, fisherman, dog lover, guitar player, songwriter/singer. He enjoyed country living, RV life, Moose lodge friendships, and his solitude.

We will miss his tender heart and the “I love you” good-bye’s.

Patrick is survived by his son, Wayne and Amber McNamara and grandchildren, Evan and Scarlett, and daughter, Nicole (Mac) and Danny Farley, siblings, countless nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Patrick in will be announced at a later time.

It is a nice atmosphere and very professional in how they run the business. They did not try to push me towards anything or any package. My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
