Normand Alfred Archambault, 81, of Port St. John, FL., passed away at 3:12 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019. “Archie” was born on February 28, 1938 in Woonsocket, RI., the son of Alfred and Marie (LeClerc) Archambault (both deceased).  Following high school, he did a tour in the U.S. Navy as a Weather Observer on board the USS Wasp. He was honorably discharged in 1955.  In 1959 he began his 36 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Air Force Eastern Test Range headquartered at Patrick AFB, FL.  He was assigned to various Range Stations including: Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas; Ascension Island, S. Atlantic; Trinidad and Antigua, W.I., where he worked as a technician for Pan AM, RCA and CSR. He retired from the Range in 1995. Archie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball. He was a great friend and trusted confidant to many people.  He is survived by his son, Alfred N. Archambault of Cape Canaveral, FL; daughter Allette Hughes of Jennings, Antigua, W.I.; sisters Denise Archambault of Riverside, RI and Helene (and Norman) Raymond of Woonsocket, RI; brothers Leo (and Jane) Archambault of Woonsocket, RI and Jean Paul Archambault of Salt Lake City, UT; God Daughters Sasha Brooks of Norfolk, VA and Lisa Seawell of Bellingham, MA.    No formal services are planned.  Burial will be in the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL.
