Michael will be interred with military honors at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL on June 30, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family of Michael would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff and medical personnel of Consulate Health Care of Melbourne.

Michael R. DiFrancesco, 92, of Titusville, FL, passed away on May 17, 2020 in Viera, Florida.

Michael was born in Washington, D.C. to Enrico “Harry” DiFrancesco and Frances DiFrancesco on October 15, 1928. He went to school at McKinley High School in Washington, D.C.

He married the former Josephine “Jody” Kerclefski, celebrating their union on April 1 and were together for 47 years.

He was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge. Following his military service he began a highly rewarding career in sales, receiving numerous awards as a top salesman and manager. One of Michael’s greatest joys was owning a racehorse, Royal Fella.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife, Josephine, and by his sisters Regina Angela Cincotta and Marie “Mary” Estelle Rapisardi and by his brother Charles Henry “Bob” DiFrancesco.

Michael is survived by his daughter Donna Lee McCracken of Micanopy, FL and son Darryn DiFrancesco of Titusville, FL, and his grandson Wesley John Hetrick of Gainesville, FL and granddaughter Sofia Catherine DiFrancesco of Tampa, FL.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
