Sadly, Merton D. Keith “Darrell” of Merritt Island, FL passed away at the age of 72. Preceeded in death by his parents Merton and Nancy Keith of Mt. View, Arkansas.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Agata Keith, Son Eric Keith, both of New Jersey.
Sisters; Fredona Currie, Cher Nicholson, Londa Keith, Gina Keith and Amber Keith. Brother; Nick Keith.
Also, his dearest friend Kathleen Rodamer, who lovingly cared for him after his stroke. Darrell served during the Vietnam War aboard the United States Navy Supercarrier, the USS Kitty Hawk, where he graduated culinary school and received honorable discharge in 1971.
Darrell loved the warm weather in Florida where he could spend time enjoying his favorite sport, fishing. His fur babies were his family as that’s how much he loved them. Darrell was an excellent cook and if he invited you for supper you were going to eat well! Being gifted with artistic talent, he created beautiful jewelry for many years. Darrell had a big heart and was beyond generous, much loved by those who knew him. We are honoring his wish to be cremated and his ashes spread on the beach or favorite fishing spot.
Rest in peace Darrell. May you always feel the sand between your toes!
