It is with the heaviest of hearts and unbearable sadness that I must inform you of the passing of my 27 year old daughter, Melissa Lynn Webb, aka ‘Malisa’, ‘MWeezy’, ‘Princess’ and my personal favorite ‘Tweety’.  Melissa had Type 1 diabetes and struggled with it for years. It appears that Melissa went into a diabetic coma and never woke up.  For those of you who had the opportunity to meet and know her, she was one of the most generous, sweet and caring people you’ve ever met. She touched everyone’s life in one way or another. She was passionate in helping those who were less fortunate than her to the point of spending her very last $12.00 buying water, granola bars and dog food for the homeless living on SeaRay Drive. She shared with me that helping others was one of the best feelings in the world.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking through the trails in North Carolina or any other exploration she could find. She also had a love for FOOD – she was an absolute foodie – she wouldn’t let me touch my food until she took a photo. One of my fondest memories of her was just watching her savor every morsel. My life without my little Tweety will never ever be the same!!! You are an angel who not only touched my life, but so many others.
She is survived by her grandparents, Charles Weaver, Mildred Webb & Frank Webb; Mother and Father, Rebecca King & Bobby Webb; Step-Father, Roy King; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Tina & Blake Tandoi; Nieces, Isabelle & Kensington Tandoi; Brothers, Jeremy & Jordan King; Longtime Partner, Justin Key; Justin’s grandparents, William Sr. & Georgina Key; Justin’s parents William Jr. & Kelley Key; And countless aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

We’re all broken people, that’s how the light gets in.
