Marion Yeatts Lovelace, 90, of Cocoa, FL, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2016. She was born on December 20, 1925 in Gretna, Virginia to parents Taylor Yeatts and Annie Yeatts. She and her family moved to Brevard County FL in 1964, where she lived until she and her Husband Gerald retired and moved back to their hometown of Gretna, Virginia a few years after he passed away She moved back to Florida, .She is survived by her son Gerald Thomas (Jerry) Lovelace, Jr. ; her grandsons and their wives Matthew (Stacy), Michael (Jaye), Andrew (Kristi) and Nicholas Warner-Smith; and great-grandchildren Miranda, Zack, Bradley, Taylor, and Eliza. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Gerald Thomas Lovelace, Sr. and her daughter Beverly Lovelace Cox. A funeral service will be held at Midway Baptist Church, Gretna Virginia, on Wednesday December 7^th at 2:00 pm.

My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
