Obituary
Linda Jean Pennington, 80, of Fair Bluff, NC passed away with her family
by her side on April 5, 2024. She was born on April 4, 1944 in Durham, NC
and was the daughter of Hobert Hammond and Evelyn Flowers.
Linda retired from the banking industry where she was employed in many
capacities from line teller, to investment banking, to manager. Most of
her years were with First Union National Bank. Linda loved her career
and her customers.
Linda was preceded in death by the love of her life, Frank Pennington,
her husband of 27 years and her son, Keith Parrish who passed away in
1991.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Michael Hammond and her daughter,
Lisa Smallwood & her husband, Greg Smallwood; grandchildren, Christian,
Sydney, and Caleb Smallwood; Ashley and Jonathan Parrish, children of her
late son, Keith Parrish. Linda loved and adored her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Brookdale, West
Melbourne, Florida. Linda fought a long, hard battle with cancer. She is
no longer suffering from pain, and is in the presence of her Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ.
