L.B passed away at his home in Cocoa, Florida, after years of failing health. He fought a hard battle. His family was with him at the end.
L.B. was born in Aiken, South Carolina, to Hutson and Bertha Johnson and grew up on a farm. He graduated from Aiken High School, served in the US Marine Corps and attended Massey Business College in Atlanta as well as Stetson University in Florida.
L.B. and LuAnne Lail Johnson, also of Aiken, married as teenagers and were together for 62 years. They came to Brevard County in 1962 where L.B. became a popular and successful businessman.
L.B. is survived by his wife LuAnne, son Sean Johnson, granddaughter Angela Johnson, grandson Christopher Johnson, and great-granddaughter Makaila Johnson. Also, a brother and sister-in-law Joe and Diane Johnson of Montgomery, AL, a sister Betsy Johnson Feezor of North Augusta SC, and a sister Sandra Johnson Holland of Brevard, NC.
L.B. is preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Hutson Johnson and a son, Casey Benjamin Johnson, lost in 1998 at the age of 24.
