Kevin Thomas Jolliffe 58, died Wednesday October 25th, 2023 at Parrish Medical Center with his wife by his side.
Kevin was born February 16th, 1965 in Maryland to George and Agnes (Jean) Jolliffe.
Kevin was a man you don’t meet everyday. He had a smile and a personality as big as his frame, and enjoyed the camaraderie of those around him. He enjoyed his Miami Hurricanes and his passion for college football was extensive. Kevin loved listening to music, a good movie and he had a very close bond with his mini schnauzer Brella.
Kevin made his living by driving, he loved seeing the country and learning the history on his travels.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents George and Agnes (Jean) Jolliffe and a brother Gerald Jolliffe.
Kevin is survived by his wife Lori, a daughter Sheena Jolliffe (Jeremiah Ortega) of LaPlata Md., 2 grandsons Dennis and Noah Ortega of LaPlata Md, A brother Robert (CIndy) Jolliffe of Hintingtown Md., a brother George Jolliffe of Merritt Island Florida, a sister Barbara (Luis) Vargas of Germantown Md. and several neises and nephews of Maryland. A stepdaughter and stepson and 3 step grand daughters from Ohio.
Kevin will be especially be remembered as a gentle giant, the ability to make you smile and laugh, he never meet a stranger.
Kevin made a light shine that even after he is gone will still shine bright.

I dealt with Paul the owner he was very helpful. He assisted in the forms and contacted a few people to help with my fathers passing. They are all very compassionate and caring. It is a nice atmosphere and very professional in how they run the business. They did not try to push me towards anything or any package. Paul was very professional and comforting in explaining the details of what was needed. Mike was very caring when they took my Husband out of VITAS Hospice. My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
