Kaleigh Lynn Thomas was born on July 7, 1995, in Tucson, Arizona, and peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2024, in Rockledge, Florida. Though doctors gave her a life expectancy of just five years, God had other plans, blessing us with 29 years of joy, love, and laughter.
Kaleigh’s radiant smile and infectious spirit touched everyone she met. She had a way of lighting up a room, always bringing joy to those around her. She loved to live life to the fullest—whether it was sipping on a Coke or Pepsi, riding Spud at Harmony Farms, or attending church on Sundays at Church at Viera. She found happiness in simple pleasures, like riding through the woods with her dad, Keven Thomas, and giggling over every bump in the road. She also enjoyed road trips to Disney with her mom and stepdad, Laura and Eric Chance. Kaleigh enjoyed waving to people passing by while riding Dumbo and laughing to the thrills of Barn Stormer. At home, you might find her playing a game of Zingo, mischievously laughing while playing a game of Hide and Seek or belly laughing watching you chase a ball thrown in the wrong direction.
Kaleigh was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and aunt. She shared a special bond with her brother, Hunter, who always cared for her with love and devotion. She was also adored by her two half-sisters, Riley and Tess, and her sister-in-love, Emily, who was like a sister to her. Hunter and Emily blessed Kaleigh with a nephew and niece, Koda and Kaia.
Her grandparents’ love surrounded her: Jim and Judy Roberts, Stan and Susan Chance, and Jerry and Pat Thomas, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.
A lover of music, dancing, and hugs, Kaleigh never missed an opportunity to share her joy and kindness with others. Her heart was full of love for everyone she met, and she was a shining example of the light of Jesus, always seeing the good in others and never passing judgment.
Though we feel the deep pain of her absence, we take comfort in knowing that Kaleigh is now in perfect health, dancing and singing with our Heavenly Father.
Her life was longer than expected and shorter than we hoped, but it was filled with immeasurable love and grace. Kaleigh’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and will forever be remembered as a beacon of joy, love, and faith.
