Judith Ann Ledford, 64, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on the morning of December 3, 2021. Although we are heartbroken, we are finding peace in knowing she is in the arms of Jesus. She is truly and dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Ledford, Sr.

She is survived by her dear mother, Maureen Ledford. Surviving also are her beloved sister Barbara (Clay) Flinn, nephews Joshua (Alison) Flinn, Matthew (Cherie) Flinn (Lilly, Chloe, Silas, and Caleb), Andrew (Katie) Flinn (Adalind and Simeon), a beloved brother Robert (Marla) Ledford and niece Alyssa Allen. She is also survived by friends who became family whom she loved deeply and dearly: Patti (Butch) Faulkner (Jessi, Grace, Luke, and Delani) and Angel.

Judy graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1975 and from Liberty University in 1980 with a Psychology degree. She pursued a career in the financial industry.

Judy had a special way of living her life. She was completely dedicated to serving others. She loved with her entire heart and soul. She made an impact and touched the lives of all who knew her.

Holding the title “Aunt Judy” was the most rewarding achievement and honor of her lifetime!
She will always be remembered and cherished for doing small things with great love!

JUDY WILL REMAIN FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
