John Ward Mills Jr. (Bluesman Johnny Mills) Passed away peacefully Saturday night June 22, 2024. Born Feb.25 ,1952. in San Diego,CA. He was a melbourne,fl resident for 68 years. John was a professional Blues guitar player for over 50 years. He was a member of the Mills Brothers Blues Band, Johnny Mills and the Rhythm Kings and Mint Condition Blues Band. Johnny started playing guitar when he was thirteen years old. The guitar was his passion. His life was music and the stage was his home. Johnny was highly respected as an accomplished Blues guitarist and singer. His big smile, deep soulful voice and smooth Blues guitar licks were known all over Brevard County. John will be greatly missed. Survived by: brother Bobby Mills(Sarah), sister Sherry Mills, sister Dawn Davis(Mike), niece Amber, nephew Brandon and great nieces and great nephew. A celebration of life will be at a later date this fall.
