Born in Stevens Point, WI to Raphael & Regina (Gryzanka) Skibba
John died at home surrounded by his family.
John owned and operated Skibba Construction until 2004.  At that time he relocated to Florida.
He graduated in 1965 from PJ Jacobs High School.
He was an active member of the Merritt Island Elks Lodge were he served as Chaplain for multiple years as well as even being named Elk of the Year.
He was also a member of the Eagles Aerie #4257, the Moose Lodge #2073 and the PLAV Post #185.
He married Marlene Schulist on February 4, 1967; she survives.  He is also survived by his children Nick (Kathy) Skibba Merritt Island, FL, Sherri Skibba (Johnnie Moore) Murfreesboro,  TN; John Jr (Heather) Skibba Rosholt, WI, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grand children, 4 brothers Mike (Linda) Custer, WI; Tony Rosholt, WI; Charles (Ellen) Wild Rose, WI and Mark Custer, WI as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Paula Kesler, sister in law Becky Murphy, and nephew Cody Skibba.
John was a master carpenter.  Along with thousands of homes, he built many custom grand father clocks as well as quality kitchen cabinets. He was a perfectionist and took much pride in his craft.
He had many things he loved including hunting, fishing, visiting casinos, and socializing, but his family was always first and foremost and he made sure they were always taken care of.
A Celebration of Life and Elks Memorial Service will be held at the Merritt Island Elks Lodge; 2650 Sykes Creek; Merritt Island, FL at 2:00 pm Saturday November 16.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Health First; especially nurse Kirsten and Dr Dana for the care they provided to John.
