John Hugh Kull, 97, led an adventurous life and on July 25,2021 began his eternal adventure. Born in Washington, D.C. on June. 26, 1924, he was the older twin of Raymond C. Kull. John was a Sergeant in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1946 in the Asia Pacific Theater and received an Honorary Discharge with several medals. He was with the 31 Weather Squadron in Hawaii, Guam and the Canton Islands. He was on the swim team at both his high school and at Catholic University where he earned two degrees: 1950 Bachelor of Civil Engineering and 1952 Bachelor of Architectual Engineering. Widowed with three children, John moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1956 to work with the Space Program at Patrick Air Force Base and later with NASA. He was a certified scuba diver, fixed wing pilot and boat captain, active with KSC Barracudas plus an avid tree climber, water and snow skier.
Preceding John in death are his parents: Darrell and Maguerite Kull; his twin brother Raymond C. Kull; his first wife Elizabeth Ann, second wife Joan, and third wife Coralee; and step daughter Bonita Carrigo.
Survivors include three children: Jo Anne (Lewis) West of Gautier, MS; Dianne (Bill) Bryant of Melbourne, Fl; and Karen (Richard) Schafer of Orlando, Fl; Six grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren; stepson Gus Whisenant of Arkansas) and three step grandsons.
