Jerry F. Davis, 80, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was predeceased by his father, JC Davis, his mother, Susie Davis, his brothers, Dale Davis and Hubert Davis, and his son, Robert “Rocky” Davis.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kris; his stepdaughters, Paige (Jason) Trosset and Katie (Justin) Fitz; and his four beloved grandchildren, Colbie and Avery Trosset, and Jacob and Caroline Fitz. He is also survived by his siblings, Dinah Fike, Joann (Angelo) Sylvester, Joya (Chris) Gorton, Melody (Bruce) Hause, Letha (Sam) Moore, Paula Pates, and JC (Sarah) Davis, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

A dedicated professional, Jerry spent 18 years working as a lineman with Florida Power and Light before becoming a business owner. He ran a successful Nationwide Insurance agency and later owned and operated Burger King as a franchisee.

Known for his generosity and love of children, Jerry frequently donated to support local elementary, middle, and high school programs, especially those that involved his grandchildren.

Jerry was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly a dedicated Florida Gators fan, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the team’s history and statistics. He was also a talented athlete, enjoying golfing and spending time on the water, whether boating or jet skiing.

A funeral service and celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Cocoa. A reception will follow in the church parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in Jerry’s memory.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
