James Thomas (Tommy) Robinson 12.19.1945- 8.31.2019 (Age 73). Born in Orlando and grew up in Winter Park, Florida. Attended Audubon and Fern Park Elementary School, Glenridge Junior High School and graduated from Winter Park High School class of 1964. Tommy went on to attend Marion Military Institute for one year and transferred to Mercer University receiving his BA in Psychology. Tommy entered the Army in 1968 as a 1st Lieutenant and later promoted to Captain. He proudly served in South Korea from 1969-1970 in Military Intelligence. He served one more year and was Honorably Discharged in 1971. After the Army, Tommy enjoyed a long career in the corporate world in sales and management.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 52 years Marilyn Maxwell Robinson. His three sons James Patrick Robinson, John Maxwell Robinson and Robert Alan Robinson. His sister Becky Robinson Miller and grand children James Austin Robinson, Mason Ray Robinson, Jason Michael Awal, Izabella Madison Robinson and Alyssa Morgan Robinson. His niece Amy Wagner Watson and many more beloved cousins and friends. He was a Christian and a member of Mi Christian Church, Merritt Island, Fl.

My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
