James Richard (Dick) Gray III, 08/15/1941 – 03/22/2019, passed away peacefully at La Casa Assisted Living Facility where he was residing.  He was born in Atlanta, Georgia,  moved to Rockledge, Florida after WW II and graduated  from Cocoa High School in 1959.  He was a well-rounded student excelling academically and athletically. He had one of the highest SAT score in the State his senior year, earned 16 letters in sports (football, basketball, baseball, and track), and was very popular with his classmates.  He enjoyed hunting, camping, water skiing, and working on his car.  Dick was involved in a very serious vehicle accident while attending the University of Florida.  It took many years to recover from the accident, but he was never able to obtain his full potential after that.  He moved back to Atlanta in 1982, with his parents where he worked until his retirement.

Dick was predeceased by his father James Richard Gray, Jr. and, he is survived by his mother Julia Bardwell Gray, brothers Sherrard Kennedy Gray (Wanda), Robert Louis Gray, Roy Dorsey Gray (Bernadette) and, his sister Anne Sherrard Gray Stallings (Tom) and, five nieces and nephews.
