  1. Carl Wick III, 74, of Merritt Island died peacefully in hospice surrounded by his family on February 23, 2018. He was born on February 12, 1944 in Kokomo, IN to Herman Carl Wick Jr. and Betty Lou. He graduated from Muskegon High School in 1962.

Carl was a proud veteran who served in the US Marine Corp from February 26, 1963 to March 24, 1967.  As a Viet Nam Veteran, he was awarded the following medals: National Defense Service, Good Conduct, Armed Force Expeditionary, Republic of Viet Nam Campaign, and Rifle Expert Badge. After his discharge from the Marines as Sergeant, he joined IBM and retired after 25 years as an Executive Systems Engineer Manager. He was an active and long standing member of Lions Club International in Drayton Plains, MI. Carl enjoyed bowling and achieved a 300 Game on March 23, 1987. Both he and his wife were active members of the North Merritt Island Methodist Church for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Terry) Martin and son, John (Liz) McConaghie; his four grandchildren; and siblings: Carvi Stucki, William (Lynne) Wick and Martin (Cathy) Wick. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda and both parents.

Sergeant Carl Wick will be laid to rest in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery – Mims, Florida.
