A celebration of life, per Fred’s wishes will be held immediately afterwards at “the farm”. Some of his ashes will be scattered there while he would hope for nothing less than a “helluva send off”!

Fred’s family. I am so sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. I lived across the street from he, Madelyn, and Pocho from 2012-2019. They were both so incredibly kind to me and I always was saddened that I didn’t get to say goodbye before I moved. He used to always leave me fruit in the mailbox from the fruit trees and would always come scoop snakes out of my pool when I panicked. Fred was definitely one of a kind. Hugs to you all.

Madeline, Kim & Nikki, So sorry for your loss. I have only funny memories of Mr Papineau when visiting Kim. I know what a wonderful man and father he was from how Kim spoke about him. I know you all are missing a big piece of your heart. Prayers for you and your family.

Fred was the neighbor who made the neighborhood better and I am honored to have had his friendship for nearly 20 years. He was a man ready to listen to you and a man of common sense and often encouragement. We had many conversations and solved many of the "world problems", usually at the end of one of my jog/runs, Fred would be in his garage or in the yard, I would yell out "Freeeeeddd" and he would respond with "Jiiiiiimmm" and we would meet up in his driveway. I also witnessed how his family cared & loved for him especially during his health challenges, I know Fred was blessed by their readiness to support him.

We just watched Fred's service, so beautiful. Holding you all in are hearts and prayers today as you grieve the loss of your husband, father and beloved Pa. He was such a sweet man. We have great memories of Fred and Madelyn in Merritt Island, sitting by the pool and talking. Loved his genuine smile and obvious love for his family. May your memories of him give you all peace, smiles and laughs, too.

Although we never met Fred, we've had the pleasure of spending time with his daughter Nikki. She is the kindest, sweetest, hardest working person we have ever met and that is a testament to her parents. I can only imagine how amazing, kind and wonderful Fred was to know based on knowing Nikki. May his memory be a blessing to your entire family. With our deepest condolences, Stephanie and Scott Hoaglund

Fred was the embodiment of a good neighbor. always willing to lend a tool or a hand with whatever project I had going on. We will miss seeing him outside burning that palm stump or walking “killer” his Yorkshire Terrier who proceeded him in rest. You were a huge part of what made our small neighborhood so great. Rest easy friend.
