Frank Williams, longtime resident of Melbourne, FL, passed away, peacefully, at his home on Sunday, December 24, 2023. Frank was born on January 12, 1941, in Scranton, PA, to David and Pauline Williams. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Carroll, and his brother, Richard Williams. Frank leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Carmen Williams, and his devoted daughters, Tammy Williams of New York City, and Darlene Williams and her partner, Brian, of Milford, CT. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joey Marchionni and his partner, Aleiya, of East Haven, CT, and Kristina Cunningham of Milford, CT; his great-grandchildren, Cristiano and Eliana; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Frank was raised in the South End of Bridgeport, CT, where he made some of his lifelong friends. He attended Central High School and was an avid football player. Upon graduation, Frank served our country as a Marine and was stationed in Japan and the Philippines. After completing his service, Frank worked at Avco in Bridgeport, then became a member of the Bridgeport Police Department, where he served the city for 20 years, retiring as a Detective. He also had his own painting and wallpapering business, which kept him busy in Florida post-retirement.

Frank had a wicked sense of humor, could dance a mean jitterbug, was a big football and boxing fan, and loved Italian food, like a true Italian. Above all, Frank was a loving and loyal husband, father, and friend. He will be missed beyond measure.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Fund and/or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
