Derald Dean Roth

Nov. 22, 1934 – Feb. 1, 2017

Derald Dean Roth passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, Feb 1^st at 11:00 pm. As always thinking of others as he waited for his family to be safe at home before moving on to the afterlife. Derald was born at his parent’s farm in Hemingford, Nebraska. After high school he served in the Army until 1963. Growing up in Nebraska, Derald always had a strong love for technology and the space program. He finally realized his dream by moving to Florida in the mid-1960’s joining the Apollo program at RCA Corporation.  He continued his dream through the Apollo program and into the Shuttle program where he ended his career as the Director for Operational Television and Communications department at Indyne Corporation. He spent over 40 years working at Kennedy Space Center and that legacy was not lost on his children as several of us also worked there for many years. His love for Technology and the Space program is something we will always cherish.

We will all miss you Dad!

Derald was married to Sharon Roth for 54 wonderful years and will be remembered by her and their six children; Denise Carnell, Chuck Roth, Brian Roth, Alan Roth, Eric Roth and Robin Weiss and their 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
