Dennis Schilling, age 75, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, passed away on December 22nd, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson’s.

Dennis was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 14, 1948 to William and Jean Schilling. While Dennis moved from Chicago a few years after college, he continued to remain faithful to his favorite football team the Chicago Bears.

Dennis married, Alice, the love of his life, in 1997, and the two of them built a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. Together they enjoyed regular trips to Vegas, cruising and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Always loving his role as a Grandfather, it never took much to get Dennis bragging about his 3 grandchildren or playing Words with Friends with them. Even though they were on opposite sides of the country, Dennis made sure to be an active and loving Grandparent.

Known for his sense of humor and his amazing wit – at least in his own mind – Dennis was always trying to make others laugh, was often thought of as a bit of a loveable goof. Much like his favorite Disney character, Goofy, he loved a good joke or a funny prank and never missed a chance to make the people he loved happy.

He is survived by his wonderfully patient and loving wife Alice, his daughters Sandi and Kyna, his stepsons Rob and Brian, and his 3 beloved grandchildren Ellie, Carter, and Ethan.

His is a great loss and is felt deeply by his family, friends, and his community. The family appreciates all the support they have received during this time and asks that in lieu of flowers requests donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, an organization doing great work to improve care, advance research and end Parkinson’s.
