On July 2nd, 2015, Colonel Dan P. Houston died. He was 71 years old, a loving husband and father, devoted brother, unyielding friend and veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years.There are no words to express the loss the world has experienced with the passing of Dan. Our Uncle Alan put it best when he said, although we are grieving the loss of a great man, we should be most sad for those who never got to know Dan.

Dan was the kindest, most honorable man we have ever known and we will live every day, working to follow his example. He was taken from us too soon, but left us in exactly the manner that he lived, striving to remain strong and enjoying every day to the fullest by devoting himself to his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters and his many friends.

The best of Dan Houston shines on in the lessons that he instilled in his family and friends. The hole in the world left by his passing will be impossible to fill, but his family and friends will work every day to follow his lead and put some of the love, that he put out every day, back into the world. We love you, Dan. You will never be gone because you live on in the hearts of those you touched with your unwavering kindness, honor, and devotion to others.

Sons and Daughter-in-laws: Dan Houston and Rebecca Houston, Chance Houston and Jennifer Houston, Mack Houston, Zachary Houston and Michael Gross Sisters and Brother-in-law: Bridget Houston Hyde, Lindy Houston Heller Jenifer Houston and Alan Busche

His grandchildren, Sienna, Christian, Mallory, Dylan, Grady, Chance, Shane, Jax, many nephews and nieces, cousins, and countless friends.

Celebration of Life to be held July 11th, 2015 from 4PM-7PM at Ms. Magoo’s Restaurant 1010 N Scenic Hwy, Babson Park, FL 33827
