CLARENCE LEE RUSH
In Loving Memory of Clarence L. Rush, Age 89, of Merritt Island, FL who passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, 12/10/2023.
He was born in Greenwood, SC in 1934. He graduated from Greenwood HS in 1952 and joined the Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War. Upon completion of his service, he used the GI Bill to attend Clemson University where he received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1960. He was employed by the Department of Defense his entire career mostly working out of Patrick Air Force Base. He retired from civil service, at the age of 55, in 1989 with 33 years of federal service.
Clarence met his wife, Judith, in 1967 at the Pines Apartments in Indian Harbor Beach. They were married in 1968 and celebrated 55 years together until his passing. As a youth, Clarence was an Eagle Scout and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and his later years attending garage sales with Judith as he refined his negotiating skills. Clarence was known for his sense of humor and gentle ways. He valued God and family.
He is survived by Judith Rush (Wife), Troy Rush (Son), Tricia Bolick (Daughter) and his Grandchildren: Connor Bolick, Logan Bolick, and Grace Rush.
Clarence will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
