Wake and Life Celebration Blessing, to be held by Fr. Matthew Mello, will be held at Island Cremation, 405 S Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2020. Funeral Mass to be celebrated by Fr. Kent Walker at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 1940 N Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 11, 2020.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Christine’s name to any of the following: St. Jude, Moose-haven, National Kidney Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, or American Heart Association.

Christine M. Coble, 54, of Merritt Island, FL, passed away at her home on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019. A native of the Bronx, New York, Christine was born Sep. 19, 1965 to John and Catherine Coble. One of four children, Christine, moved to Merritt Island in 1973. A 1983 graduate of Merritt Island High School, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing from St. Leo College in 1987 and a Master of Arts in Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2010. She was a beloved elementary school teacher for Brevard County Schools.

She is preceded in death by her Mother and Grandparents. Christine is survived by brothers John Coble (Michele) of Homosassa, Fl and Michael Coble (Mari) of Germany; sister Teresa Coble of Merritt Island, FL; nephews Michael Coble, John Coble III, and Patrick Coble; niece Tracy Johnson; along with great-nephews Jayden and Connor and great-nieces Lily, Catherine, Meagan, and Emily.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
