Chuck was such an amazing man. I knew him from the Villa Roma days and the Merritt Island Press. We just recently reconnected since I moved back to the area. He was always such a kind and caring man. I am so sad not to have had more time to see him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Diana. I believe he is up in heaven with my mom and dad. And probably having a deep discussion with my dad. They are probably starting a paper up there

I was sorry to read of Chucks passing. I became aquainted with him when he would come to Publix in Rockledge. We became friends and he would stop by the seafood counter where I worked and we would have some wonderful conversations, some long, some short. We'd talk of current events, airplanes and boats and just about anything else. When he left I always felt that I just had a visit with a favorite Uncle. Interesting man with interesting stories. His passing brings to mind a favorite Jimmy Buffett lyric: "He's somewhere on the ocean now, the place he ought to be, one hand on starboard rail, he's waving back at me."
