Carmen Teresa (Feliciano) Williams, longtime resident of Melbourne, FL, passed away, peacefully, at her home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Carmen was born on July 2, 1941 in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, to Dionisio and Carmen Feliciano, two brave and devout souls. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank Williams, who passed just days earlier on Christmas Eve. Also departed are her revered older brothers, Francisco and Carlos Feliciano, and their loving wives, Catalina Feliciano and Georgina Feliciano, respectively.

Carmen leaves behind her devoted daughters, Tammy Williams of New York, and Darlene Williams and her partner, Brian, of Milford, CT; her adoring grandchildren, Joey Marchionni and his partner, Aleiya, of East Haven, CT, and Kristina Cunningham of Milford, CT; and her great-grandchildren Cristiano and Eliana. She is also survived by her loving younger brother, Jose Feliciano, and his wife, Mary, of Hutchinson Island, FL, and her cherished sister and best friend, Drusila DeJesus, and her husband, Jose, of Vero Beach, FL; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

After moving from Puerto Rico to Bridgeport, CT, at 12 years old, Carmen quickly overcame the language barrier to graduate from Central High School with honors. She continued her studies at the Katherine Gibbs School, training as an Executive Secretary. Carmen went on to marry the love of her life, had two daughters, and spent the next several years as a stay-at-home mom, a role she took enormous pride in. Upon returning to work, Carmen served across many industries and was employed by Hubbell Inc, Continental Can Company, and People’s Bank, among others. She was admired by her coworkers not only for her professionalism and extraordinary work ethic, but also for the warmth, friendliness, and generosity she brought to everything she did.

Carmen loved to travel and meet new people. Aruba was one of her favorite destinations, and she had wonderful memories of Paris and Positano. Once in Florida, she forged lasting friendships through her church and bowling league. She was deeply attached to her home, her neighbors, and her Misty Creek community.

Kind, caring, graceful, elegant, with a smile that could light up a room, are just some of the words that have been used to describe Carmen. To those closest to her, she was the most loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be missed beyond words. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
