Carl E. “Buck” Bailey, 70 of Cocoa Florida passed away on January 15, 2018.

Born on October 28, 1947 to Carlin and Norma Bailey of Londonderry, Vermont.

Carl passed away peacefully at home with his wife Paulette Picard.

Predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife Paulette and daughters Suzie Bailey Scorse of Rutland VT and Michele Bailey Blanchette of West Rutland VT and niece Debbie Bigelow Trombly of Chester VT.

His Brothers, Michael Bailey of Londonderry, Dennis Bailey is Springfield. His Sisters Roxanna Carvage of Chester and Virginia Bailey of Earlton NY. His Grandson Ramsay 19, Granddaughters Samantha 26, Sage 16, Sara 13 and Shawna 11.

Born and raised in Londonderry Vermont, everyone knew him as “Buck”. He enjoyed his youth on Lowell Lake fishing and enjoying the great outdoors with his father and brothers. As well as being an avid downhill skier at Magic Mountain, later in his life he was a downhill ski racer for the VSP team.

Carl is a 1965 Graduate of Chester High School. In 1970 he joined the Vermont State Police and served the Bennington and Windham counties as the VSP “out post “in East Dorset Vermont. He was the Firearms Instructor at the VSP academy. Carl excelled with his leadership skills with the VSP Search and Rescue team.  Sargent Carl E. Bailey retired from the VSP Rockingham

During his busy career with the VSP, Carl had a passion and great skills as a Carpenter. He had built two homes for his family. One in East Dorset in 1974 and one in Londonderry in 1980.

After retirement, Carl picked up a busy second career and passion working with his Kubota.
If he wasn’t working the fields or getting wood, he was at the golf courses enjoying the retired life. He and his wife Paulette later decided to take a fulltime residency in Cocoa Florida.
