Anita F. MaysRockledge, FLAnita Mays, 49, of Rockledge , FL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July, 27, 2014. She was born June 8, 1965 in Yazoo City, MS. She is predeceased by her parents, Eulas S. and Juanita T. Jenkins and her sister, Cheryl J. Minichino. She is survived by her children, Carly Mays and Cody Mays, as well as her sisters, Kathryn Eaddy and Jeanne McDirmit. She was employed by Brevard County Commissioners for 23 years. A celebration of her life will be held at East Coast Christian Center in Merritt Island on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10 a.m. Donations in Anita’s memory may be donated to William Childs Hospice House or flowers for the service.

I dealt with Paul the owner he was very helpful. He assisted in the forms and contacted a few people to help with my fathers passing. They are all very compassionate and caring. It is a nice atmosphere and very professional in how they run the business. They did not try to push me towards anything or any package. My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
