CORBY JAY CHASE
OCTOBER 13, 1956
FEBRUARY 25, 2013
Corby Jay Chase slipped away to heaven February 25, 2013 at home with his family near. Born in Lakeland, Fl. on October 13, 1956 to Clemence and Kathleen (Kitty) Chase (now deceased), he grew up and worked in the Merritt Island area, most of his life after his parents moved here in the late 60’s. He worked as a welder, ship repair and then purchasing agent for American Boom until a terminal illness kept him home. He and his wife, Janet raised their two daughters Karisa and Jenna on Cocoa Beach, as well as his step children April, Aaron and Justin Adams. His quick wit, dry sense of humor and slow smile will be greatly missed. He was a caring and giving person that the people that knew him shall not find again soon. He leaves behind his sister Linda Chase Turner, Jeffrey Chase and wife Kathie, and his niece Heather Chase. His grand children, Zachary Chase-Herndon, Izaiah Adams and Kayden Adams were blessed for having known him. A family service will be held in November at the Seven Mile Bridge, and a local service is planned locally, but the details are still pending.
