John Buckley Sampson, Jr., 89, of Cocoa passed away Friday, September 02, 2016. John was born and raised in New Jersey, and moved to Satellite Beach in 1964. He was a World War II Navy Veteran.

In 1965 John established Sampson Industries Incorporated, of Palm Bay. The company supplied fine custom cabinetry to both commercial and home builders in the county from the mid-1960’s until the early 1990’s when he retired. He and his family later moved to Cocoa. John had a love of boating and gardening, and put utmost effort and care into everything he did.

John is survived by Shirley, his loving wife of 56 years, son Peter (Catherine) Sampson, daughter Janet (Dale) Taglilatelo, granddaughter Morgan Sampson, sister Elaine (Edward) DePiero, and brother Leonard Sampson. He was Preceded in death by his sister Doris (Edward) Barber.
