Robert John Gibson
December 14, 1939 – April 2, 2025

Robert, 85, finally lost his battle with skin cancer passing away peacefully on April 2, 2025 at Vitas Hospice home in Rockledge, Florida surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on December 14, 1939 in Sonoma, CA to Paul and Rosie Gibson. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy from 1958-1962 as a radar operator for the Airborne Early Warning Barrier Squadron Pacific at Barbers Point and Midway. Then after leaving the Navy he spent thirty years in the Seattle, WA area working, earning his Associate degree, and raising his children before moving to the Sacramento, CA area and finally Merritt Island, FL.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Mary Hollister-Gibson, three children Barbara (Norm) Manhalter, Scott (Doraine) Gibson, Cindy Gibson, and three grandsons, Brendon, Connor, and Zachary along with by two step-children Kevin Sanford and Kristie (Pete) Womble. Additionally, he is survived by a brother, Gary Gibson, and sister Barbara He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers, Paul Gibson, Phil Gibson, sister Vickie Gibson, and Karen Gibson (mother of his children).

Bob’s favorite pastimes were dancing, golfing, bowling, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Bob was kind and generous with sparkling blue eyes, easy smile and quick wit who will be missed but never forgotten.
