Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

This announcement is to inform family and friends that the angels have escorted Paula into the loving arms of her beloved big brother, Monte Tewksbury, once again.

Born in Lancaster, Ohio, Paula had the opportunity to see much of the world as a military child and later as a military wife. In addition to her career in the medical field and accomplishments as a wife and mother, she sometimes shared stories about drag racing in the Powder Puff class in the 1960’s and once riding cross-country on a motorcycle. Paula loved many things, but nothing could compare to being with family and friends. Paula spent her early years in Hawaii, graduated from high school in Japan, and spent her final years in Florida. The ocean was always calling her name.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Gladys Tewksbury, her brother, Monte Tewksbury, and spouse Ed Trowbridge. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Don) Pollack of Melbourne, Florida, and son, Andrew (Cindy) Myers of Willoughby, Ohio. Bob Trowbridge, Stephanie Gilbert, and Stacy Kinnison are her three stepchildren. Paige Young, Owen Myers, Walker Kinnison, Taylor Myers, Hayden Myers, Evelyn Myers, Austin Myers, Delilah Young, and Oliver Young were her seven wonderful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Special thanks need to go out to some special people in her life: Phyllis Shepherd, who filled her days in Columbus with great times and laughter; Charlene Verkaik, her partner in crime for nearly 50 years, who was there holding her hand until the end; and last, but not least, Timothy Myers, father of her children, friend, Florida guide, cook, chauffeur, pet sitter and anything needed in between and at any time. Health First Hospital’s ICU in Viera, Florida, also deserves an honorable mention for their genuine care and compassion during this difficult time. At Paula’s request, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In conclusion, our families would like to thank all of you for your outpouring of love, your friendships, and the prayers that made Paula’s life fulfilled beyond measure. As Paula used to say, “ Well, bless your heart!”
