Nancy K Duffey

December 1, 1938- December 26, 2019

Nancy Kay McClain Duffey passed away on 12-26-19 in Melbourne Florida. Nancy was born in Springfield Ohio, to Richard McClain and Katharine Keith.

Nancy is survived by her children, Christopher S. Duffey (Brenda) and Samantha Duffey,

sister Alice Brooks, grandchildren Christopher Neil Duffey (Jennifer), Kai Duffey, Chloe Duffey and Holli Forness, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was an RN, and started her career at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. She was valedictorian of her nursing class. Nancy had an extensive nursing career working the Pediatric Unit, Med Surgical, ER, and was an RN in the Airforce Reserves, and as a Lieutenant traveled between Florida and Texas.

In the early seventies, Nancy moved to Titusville Florida and worked for Parrish Hospital (Hospital Supervisor, Infection Control and Risk Management). She continued her career as a Hospice nurse with Wuesthoff in Brevard County, Florida. Nancy was recognized by the State of Florida for her outstanding care of Alzheimer’s patient in Hospice.

Nancy was an artist and enjoyed painting, sketching, sewing, and all forms of arts and crafts. She enjoyed the beach, sailing, gardening and nature.

Her life and memories will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends.  A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date.
